Flying Standby is a Phoenix-based POPTERNATIVE ROCK band that plays original music throughout the Valley. The band formed in the summer of 2008. The sound can be described as varied and ever-changing. It's what you'd hear if you stood outside in between a concert hall, rock-n-roll bar, and football game; Listening to all three at once. The guys of Flying Standby love making music and are highly influenced by everything in life. Each of the members of the band come from very different walks of life, and those differences lead to music that has a little something for everyone. The band is making a name for itself by breaking away from the sterotypical pop/rock music formula which makes for something (We feel is) more meaningful and interesting.
